You would probably want to get an earlier start anyway. Boarding to head into the canyon is from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. There may be significant delays entering the park, and once inside there is limited parking.

Connie is absolutely on point with parking at the visitor center being full by 8:30. The entrance fee is $35 and is valid for 7 days. If parking is full when you arrive, you can park in the nearby town of springdale and from there use the town shuttle to enter the park.
